A Path to Pride & Success - 6-Step Course
This six-part video course is designed to give educators, support staff, and family members a systematic approach to helping students develop a positive identity as people with disabilities. Engaging activities are provided to help adults support young people to reject shame, accept their disabilities, get comfortable asking for help, practice self-advocacy skills, and value being a part of an amazing community of people who have used their differences to change the world.

LeDerick Horne is a renowned advocate, speaker, and poet championing disability rights and inclusion. Diagnosed with a learning disability in childhood, he uses his experiences and spoken-word poetry to inspire and empower. LeDerick has addressed audiences at the White House, the United Nations, and universities nationwide, promoting equal opportunity and self-determination for individuals with disabilities.
A graduate of New Jersey City University, LeDerick co-authored "Empowering Students with Hidden Disabilities: A Path to Pride and Success." He's released spoken-word albums and leads initiatives to support Black individuals with disabilities. LeDerick serves as Board Chair for organizations promoting inclusive education and co-hosts the "Black and Dyslexic" podcast, continuing his mission to drive systemic change and empower those with disabilities.
